TMA Free 70:30 Hybrid Powder Coating Resins for Fast Curing Indoor Use
◇ Introduction:
HH2781 is a completely TMA free hybrid polyester resin.
Trimellitic anhydride (TMA) is an important chemical intermediate and an important raw material for polyester resin, polyimide resin, polyvinyl chloride heat-resistant plasticizer, epoxy resin curing agent, dye capacitor impregnating oil and adhesives and other products. . TMA molecule contains benzene ring, carboxylic acid and acid anhydride structure at the same time, which can improve the glass transition temperature (Tg), crosslinking density, viscosity and acid value of polyester resin, and improve the chemical resistance, storage stability and chemical resistance of powder coatings. Flowability, so it is used as an end capping agent for indoor polyester resins.
However, the benzene cyclic anhydride structure in TMA is irritating, and the direct contact of free TMA with the human body can easily cause eye damage, mucosal irritation, respiratory allergy and gastrointestinal irritation.
Therefore, TMA-free polyester resin is the future development trend.
